Hi

I found these online from a Military Surplus store in Germany for only 2 Euros plus 9.50 Euros shipping to the UK, I have bought 4 off them, they are EX Military Airfield Lamps on the Lamps they have Philips 6.6a 45w MS25012-2 this comes back as the follows.

6.6a 45w Airport Lamp T10 P28s cap
Lamp Ref No 6.6A/T10P
UK Ref No J1/12 and J1/13
USAF Ref No MS25012-2
NATO Serial No 6240-00-196-4472

I attach a photo of one of the Military Airport Lamps

Beware of P28S lamp. They are no more authorized especially in France because of the RoHs laws.

Interesting as in the USA and UK P28s Airfield Lamps are still in use even Dr Fischer in Germany still supply P28s Airfield lamps for Approach Runway Taxiway and Obstruction Lighting

In the UK Victory Lighting supply P28s Airfield lamps for Both Civillian and Military Airfields

I found two of these online on the US E-bay for only $15 inc shipping to the UK, they are Westinghouse Airfield Lamps on the Lamps they are 6.6a 200w MS25013-1 this comes back as the follows.

Westinghouse Aviation Lamp
6.6a 200w Airport Lamp T14 P28s cap
Lamp Ref No 6.6A/T14/P
UK Ref No J1/12 and J1/13
USAF Ref No MS25013-1
NATO Stock No 6240-00-196-4471

They were used for the C1 type Runway Edge Lights as used on US Military Airbases with a Runway less than 200ft wide.

Date Code on Lamp stem shows 36 = December 1952 or 1960
