This range was controlled by Silverstone and later Market Harborough. The target was at SP 72923 47717 but no quadrants or arrows have been located. It was requested that the range be illuminated for night practice in December 1942 and was noted as being electrically lit in December 1944.

I have a couple of questions which I hope someone may be able to answer

1) The history of Alderton records a quadrant being present in Moor Meadow but does not state where it was. Although I can probably work it out from the details in the history this may not be accurate. Source: www.british-history.ac.uk/vch/northants/vol5/pp39-58

2) There is a photo of an extract from an ORB that mentions works services adding a new store under the quadrant and also a compressor house. The extract did not include a date and I recall it was to highlight something else. Sadly I lost the link but I think it was either the ORB for Silverstone or 17 OTU and the only thing that may help locate it was that it was on page 5 of 13 for that month. But which month?
