Yet another "new" bombing range that was also an airfield, although probably only a scatter field.

76 Squadron records shows that low level practice bombing was carried out here from November 1939 to at least the end of February 1940. The squadron were using Hampdens at the time and were based at Upper Heyford. The ORB also mentions Brackley as an aerodrome.

Assuming that the bombing range was an aerodrome site, was it Croughton? Is there any record of Croughton being used as a range?
