Amalgamated Construction were the contractor responsible for the GPSS 'minimum care' sites and pipelines of which there were quite a few.

Attached is a fairly basic line diagram of the three Upton sites plus a key

Thanks Tim, clears up some speculation on the purpose of buildings and square tank dimensions which scale out at 95 feet.

Also clarifies the identical signage at other sites.

Looking at the diagram, I realise that there is a mistake in my book as in the appendix I said that Upton had 10 C2 tanks when 5 of them are square.

There are currently no square tanks left in operation on the system, the last ones to be operational were at Satchell Lane PSD in Hampshire.
