ARGL has been informed by Urban and Civic that their demolition program has been brought forward and we have therefore been asked to vacate our current facility in Building 534 by the end of May.
Urban and Civic have very generously allowed us to occupy a large room in Building 519 which has all the necessary facilities that were lacking in our present building (heating, security, fire alarm, cctv, wireless broadband, toilets, kitchen with food machines, electric and drinking water etc.)
Obviously the time-frame for the relocation is quite short and we need to get cracking, although a start has been made. Please watch this space for working days or part days, and if anyone is available to assist please let us know ASAP.
The first working day will be this Friday, 5 May 2017, please indicate on here whether you intend to turn up. Thanks.

Work commitments do prevent me assisting on this occasion. As a very much an "armchair member", I admire the hard work and effort that goes into this project and wish I was in a position to be more proactive. Best of luck with the move to those directly involved.

Some good progress made today, my thanks to Andy and Ian for coming along to assist.
We were able to get the main archive cabinets dismantled, moved across to 519, rebuilt and all the archive boxes (previously brought over by PF) put back in place.
The main archive computer has also been relocated and is up and running, but sadly one of the two office desks didn't survive the journey.
On a more frustrating note, the vending machine ran out of coffee by the end of the day, presenting me with a steaming cup of hot frothy milk with sugar...
