Ale doesnt (or shouldnt) have hops in it, that means that it doesnt last as long as bitter. That may be why that Spitfire ale didnt taste great.

Without doubt one of the best advertising campaigns was that of Shepherd Neame SPITFIRE.

Does anyone agree?

There may be an e-mail circulating with all of the images on it - Brilliant (And the ale is quite good too but I prefer the Bishops Finger Myself !?!?

When Granada did the Coronation street tours, theyve stopped for some reason. Anyway when they did them you could buy bottles of Newton and Ridley beer.

Errrrr, where on earth did this come from? Even lagers have hops.

Google it !

... and FWIW Shepherd Neame's Spitfire uses Goldings and Target hops.
