Paul - guessing by the BIG RED copyright, that you wouldn't let me post those up on www.raflittlerissington.co.uk

BTW: It will be great to see the Watch Tower brought back to life.

The Officers Mess is currently surrounded by scaffolding, being reroofed and new windows being installed.

Wildrover Please Read:

Within the geographical categories, I have been posting a small number of ARGL Archive photos, mainly covering control tower images taken between the 1970s and 2010. These were mostly taken by me, but there are also a few bequeathed from deceased ARG members. Copyright is Strictly ARGL they are posted on this forum for the enjoyment of all but please respect this. If you are the owner of a third-party web site and you wish to use any then please ask first. However they are not to be reproduced on Facebook or Twitter. If this request is abused then they will be removed. We have roughly 50,000 negatives / slides (many, many more of aircraft) and I am slowly going through them and posting up control tower images as and when I can find the time.

PM me.

You can tell a builder from an archaeologist by the size of his trowel. Mine is a small one!
Last Edit: by Paul Francis.

Paul - I don't do Facebook. I run a website trying to depict the rise and fall of RAF Little Rissington. I guess that is a NO, I had to ask.

Kind Regards Jerry

Some time ago, way back in the early 1970s, probably about '73or '74 I had the dubious pleasure of attending the last D4 Link Trainer instructors course for the Air Training Corps ever held at Little Rissington, while it was still Central Flying School.
I do remember having to "bale out" very urgently one morning (sick bags weren't included as standard in a Link), but that was really due to a fairly heavy night before! The only person to get air-sick in a Link trainer :( Ho-hum

Blenheim Close is a new development on the RAF Little Rissington Main site. There is no doubt the air raid shelter is original, possibly even on the RSP.

Blenheim Close was built around 1989, I live in a similar property. The discovered shelter is going to be converted into a underground cinema (Link above explains all).
