They used 2 of the runways .
03-21
09-27

The main area they used for filming the dispersal area was at one of the dispersals near 21 end (Grimsby end).
I do have a plan of the airfield marked Film plans.
It is marked Football Set ,"Farm" Dispaersal Area and Crossing point lights.

The main runway at Binbrook is 21/03.

The reason why I am so sure is that I used to be an Air Traffic Controller at BK, right up until filming started!

I am searching for a photo of two Lightnings flying over the Humber Bridge.

Date unknown, I have one of a singleton flying over the bridge, but I need one of the two ship.

Can anybody help me on this? Virtual pint as a reward.

Nice photos Ossington, it looks like the roof of the hangar has been repaired following the fire last year. You can see where the officers mess was too.

I would like some help again please.

After spending 22 years as an Air Trafficker and serving in a few towers, I never knew each tower was built to a different design. Almost as good as my aircraft recognition, if I wanted to know an aircraft type I asked the pilot (well he should know). Okay quite a few are built to one design and with various additions blur into their own particular style.

Which brings me to my question in two parts:

1. What type of Tower (design) was Binbrook? That would be after the watch tower design, basically the one I served in during the 80's.
2. Where would I be able to get the plans for it? (Building a scaled model - sad I know, but it has to be done)

I would be grateful for any and all assistance.
