This small memorial is little known and out of the way in the Whitley district of Coventry.it is at a section of Whitley Common cut off by the Kenilworth Bypass at the end of "Abbey Road"

Willenhall is famous for its history of Lockmaking and its war memorial remembers civilian casualtys as well as those from the Boar war, these are put into a different context when one considers the deaths from Cholera memorialised elsewhere in Willenhall.

The Ironbridge was unfortunately covered up for repairs at Iron Bridge , in this post i also include details of the sculptor and founders who made the statue for the monument they do tend to get ignored.and i make no apologys for including a non war memorial from nearby Madely
