Hi guys, sorry off subject, but NOT to be missed.

Just seen on my local BBC news, a Lancaster will be flying over Ladybower reservoir after 10:00 am tomorrow to remember the dambuster raids of 617 squadron.

Wish I was up near Sheffield, please someone get some photos?

I'm sure Denis will agree - it was a moving and special event and it was privileged to be there.

Due to a camera cock-up, I had to borrow one so I'm just waiting for the CD to arrive with shots I took.

It was an extremely moving event. And felt privileged to have been there, even more so to have been lucky enough to shake the hand of Les Munro, the last surviving pilot from the raid. likewise no pics, well not until the borrowed camera has been 'debriefed'

Just got the pics back and sorting through them. I'll post a couple up on this thread when I have them sorted.

Some from earlier today. A mix of mine and Bill Williams'. I'd like to thank him for the loan of the camera for the morning as I had a bit of a battery cock-up!

Oh wow ! Beautiful pics. It flew over my house yesterday morning but I wasn't able to get out with a camera in time.

They are nice shots, Chris. I look forward to seeing more as you have chance to review them. Shame I couldn't be with you, but discretion was the better part of valour!
