See the thread for Dome Trainers; it's explained in there.

They were used for 'free' gun Anti Aicraft training, not Turrent Training wheich was done in a completely different type of building.

Looking at the Langham pics again its surprising how much has changed since I first visited. The small groups of trees seem to have sprung up everywhere. Worryingly they look quite mature!

Sounds like good-news

Was only a coupla years ago (2007 ?) that I took my Son out on the back of my Honda 900 & as we passed by Langham, & we stopped to take a look.

The temporary boarding across the door was down (as we arrived), so we had a quick-look around inside....

I recall seeing wooden-framing across the floor, as if 'dividing-sections' ?

When the restoration is done, will it be open to the public 'officially', Paul ?

The Langham Dome Trainer has Listed Building status it is also recognised officially as Britains youngest Ancient Monument.
