Thanks for this info but unfortunately the dates don't tally. 78 HD Sqn arrived in Hove "early" in 1917 (possbly late 1916) and definately left in September 1917 so the location still remains unlocated - although 3 Palmeria Square remains a srtong contender if it had a RFC use ?

Hoping (praying!) that anyone from Sussex on here may have the answer . . . .

Speak with the historian at Shoreham, he was very clued up on RFC local use.
