What was this camp site at Brindley heath if not Hednesford or Brocton ? 09 May 2018 09:57 #1

The remains pictured which are but a small section of the foundations are just off the map left of the grid like pattern of tracks (now in part a caravan site) beneath the top pin pointing to The "old Butts". the map is OS 1st series sheet SK01published 1960 reprinted with minor corrections 1960 the next is thean entrance to the sight of Penkridge bank this is what was a side track of the last photo on the left. the next series are a small selection of foundations . I am beginning to suspect this despite being in Brindley Heath the first word war Brocton Barracks the concrete cubes with square holes (Timber post holes ?)from memory seem the same as the many scubes by the first workd war hospital nearby.

The pin at the bottom is pointing towards the NW edge of RAF Hednesford Camp.

The top pin is pointing at Rugeley Camp.
