94MU (Brafferton) and 224MU (Kiplin Hall) were providing HE, IC,s, pyrotechnics (even poison gas if needed) to 6 RCAF Grp Bomber Command Sqn’s.
Late 1944, IC,s were also stored on secondary RWY’s at Scorton Afd.
At the height of the war, 42 railway wagons brought more than 250 tons of bombs each day to the depot of Brafferton.

Oxygen supplies were stores at Cundall

Do you know more about the two MU’s (books, stories, plans, pictures ?)

Were there other depots around the 11 afd’s servicing 6 Grp ?

Thank you and wishing you a nice weekend !

Both Brafferton and Kiplin have their own threads in this section so have a look there !

Site plans are available or certainly in circulation of both storage areas too and Brafferton gets a mention in the book 'White Rose Base' by Brian Rapier .
