I visted RAF Colerne in 1974 as it was the site of an air musuem. I've attached a photo of a Handley Page Hastings that was part of the museum display. Is the museum still there???

JD - the aircraft was HP Hastings C.1A TG536, scrapped at RAF Catterick during 1987. Couple of photos here and here taken at Catterick in 1982.

I don't know much of the history of the museum at Colerne, but it seemed short lived.

I dont think Colerne had a museum as such, like Finningley it held aircraft for the RAF museum.
