To help get our educational information out to a broader audience, each year from April until November a group of members travels to various aircraft, airfield or military related events with our information boards, publications and other related books and artefacts. Through the roadshow we help to inform and educate those who have an interest in the historical background of airfields and their related infrastructure as well as the work of the Group. We often find people who have grown up near derelict airfields or have had family members serving in the Fleet Air Arm, Royal Air force, Army Air Corps or other nations' air forces making a bee-line to our stand to get more information for their research or just general knowledge.

The roadshow has visited Newark Air Museum, Halfpenny Green (Wolverhampton Airport), East Kirkby, Old Warden, Duxford and Middle Wallop. Every year we have a series of regular events we attend, but we also visit as many different additional venues as our calendars allow.
We always look forward to meeting members and welcoming new members at these events. So make sure you come and have a chat at the shows we attend if you happen to be there too.

If you are local to any of these events or are intending visiting, please get in touch if you can help out. Even it is just to help putting the tent up or to man the stand for a short period during the day to give the others a chance for a look around. It’s always fun getting to meet and talk to the public about our favorite subject! There is every chance you will get in to the event free if we have enough show passes.
Other events will be added during the year.
If you would like to get involved, even for a short period at a specific event, drop us a line at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. we’d love to hear from you.
